Spike: battle state detection

Description

Find the RAM addresses that reliably signal battle start, battle end, menu state, and enemy count in FF1. Write and run scripts/spike_battle_detect.py: walk until a random encounter triggers, then inspect RAM for values that change at battle boundaries. Identify addresses for: battle active flag, current menu (fight/magic/item/run), enemy count, enemy HP. Document all discovered addresses and their value ranges in docs/spike-results.md.
